In 2019, a U.S District Court judge issued a nationwide injunction against the Trump Administration’s decision to allow the posting of 3D-printed gun blueprints on the internet.

On the other hand, some countries have banned the possession or distribution of 3D printed firearms altogether.

It’s important to note that the quality and reliability of 3D printed guns are still questionable, as the technology has not yet reached the maturity level to produce high-quality and safe firearms. Additionally, the use of 3D printed guns is illegal in some jurisdictions, and the possession or distribution of these firearms could lead to serious legal consequences.
