If you are developing a product from concept then you need a team who will focus their time on developing your idea. With over seven years of experience in the 3D printing field, our staff will work with you to create the design you’re looking for. We offer product design/development and follow on to print high quality working prototypes for architects and engineers. Our designers are located in Dublin, Ireland, and upon design completion, can have the finished physical object ready in about three days. If it’s a very precise or detailed design, an SLA printer will be used. Otherwise, an FDM printer would be the better option, as it’ll be faster and cheaper to construct.
What About 3D Printing CAD Software?
We use SketchUp by Trimble software, which is universally recognized as the easiest to use CAD software and it’s free to download. Additionally, it includes a host of already-established and built models to use. You can use these models for your personal or commercial use, and if you need to make any design changes, you are free to do so yourself, or send it to us if they’re small modifications.
Sketchup Free works within your browser, and has all of the standard features you would expect out of a 3D building program, such as complementary cloud storage and interoperability between different media types.
If you’re looking for a more intensive program, try SketchUp Pro, which includes a desktop modeling program, VR model viewing, and many other features. For the average 3D design, however, Sketchup Free will work wonderfully, and allow you to get your feet wet into the world of 3D modeling.
For Those in the Architectural Design Field
If you’re in the architectural design field, you’ll need something more powerful as you’re working with much larger models than the average, we recommend SketchUp Studio. It’ll give you a much more impressive array of options, including the ability to determine energy usage, daylight levels, and the temperature inside. When you’re ready to see what the building will look like in-person, let us know, and we’ll have one of our FDM printers construct it for you.
