The PLA we use is strong, accurate, and affordable, which leads to a better cost and faster turn-around time compared to other 3D printing services in Dublin or the surrounding areas. For engineering creations, elements involving moving parts, or very precise measurements in your project files, we have SLA printers that would be better suited to the task. Able to print almost anything over 25 microns thin, it’s ideal for highly detailed objects or moving parts. While generally more expensive compared to our FDM printing service, it’s well worth the cost.
Why Is Our 3D Printing Service So Affordable?
With no tooling costs, easy design modifications, and batch production on demand 3D printing is about 50% cheaper than CNC milling. CNC milling also has the negative drawback of creating significantly more waste than 3D printing, as CNC milling is what’s termed a subtractive process. 3D printing, in juxtaposition, is an additive process as it works by adding a continuous stream of layers on top of one another. 3D printing also has some other benefits compared to CNC milling, such as the flexibility in design construction, speed, and that it has many possible applications across different industries. 3D printers also use a wider variety of building material – including plastic, metal, sand, and wood. How Large is Your 3D Printed Project?
Using our SLA and FDM printers, we can print from 1 up to 1,500 units. Most orders can be completed within 3 days, though larger orders may take additional time. What to send us:
If you have an STL file ready to send we can give you a very accurate quote as well as lead times.
If you do not have a file ready you are welcome to send through any images or drawings of the parts you need and our design team can take a look. They can create a new design or even replicate an existing one, often within a week ready for print.
